At Static Dance Studios our Performance Teams are for those who want to take their dance training to the next level. Static Dance Studios offers Performance team classes for every age group. These classes are offered to students who have shown the appropriate level of commitment and work ethic in previous classes.

Team members learn a selection of well-choreographed competitive dances, perform in different styles and are exposed to other inspirational performers at competitions. Our Performance Teams continue to enjoy fantastic success in both local and national competitions.

To be eligible, performance teams have specific eligibility requirements in regards to the amount of classes and styles that students must do.

6&U PERFORMANCE TEAM: 1x Elite Class , 1x Elite Technique/ Ballet, 1x Run Through Class

8&U PERFORMANCE TEAM : 1 x Elite Jazz,  1 x Elite Lyrical/ Contemporary, 1 x Elite Ballet, 1 x Technique , 1 x Elite Run Through

10&U PERFORMANCE TEAM : 1 x Elite Jazz,  1 x Elite Lyrical/ Contemporary, 1 x Elite Ballet, 1 x Technique , 1 x Elite Run Through

12&U PERFORMANCE TEAM : 1 x Elite Jazz,  1 x Elite Lyrical/ Contemporary, 1 x Elite Ballet, 1 x Technique , 1 x Elite Run Through

14&U PERFORMANCE TEAM : 1 x Elite Jazz,  1 x Elite Lyrical/ Contemporary, 1 x Technique , 1 x Elite Run Through

Our Performance Teams are a team sport and as such it is very important that all team members are committed equally. Performance Team students are required to meet all class requirements and uphold the values of being an Elite Team student at our studio.

Student’s attendance will be marked every week. If students miss 3 or more of the compulsory classes within a term without a valid reason, their position in the Hip Hop Crew & Performance team classes will be withdrawn for the remainder of the year.

Two intensive holiday workshops will be held during the year for both Performance Team and Crew students. These workshops will be compulsory for all students to attend to further students skill development and physical conditioning. During competition season and as the End of Year Showcase draws near, extra rehearsals may be called that are beyond the student’s current schedule and will incur an extra fee. We highly encourage that all of the extra rehearsals are attended.

We understand that things happen in life, however we expect our Performance Team students to not miss their classes lightly and only when very unwell. If you are planning a holiday that falls on one of the performances or eisteddfods please let us know at the beginning of the year so their teacher can make appropriate adjustments if/where required.

Performance team students are expected to show a high level of involvement and participation as these students will be representing Static Dance Studios to the community.

As representatives of Static Dance Studios Performance Teams we expect that our students uphold the full Static Dance Studios uniform values in every single lesson. This includes full ballet uniform in ballet classes.

Our Competition Team students are also expected to wear the following uniform when competing at dance competitions and to the community.

MALE & FEMALE

• SDS Tracksuit ( Jacket and pants )

• SDS Static Dance Studios 2025 Baseball Shirt or Black SDS T-Shirt underneath.

• Clean Predominately White Joggers

*No thongs , slippers or any sort of open toed shoes are to be worn to any performances.*

Classes are priced as per our Static Dance Studios Code of Conduct in our Fee's & Prices section.

Additional Eisteddfod related fees are outlined below:

Costumes Competition Team Costumes - can range from $90 - $150 each per routine. A deposit of $50.00 per routine will be charged Term 1 Week 8 with the balance due on costume arrival. Reminders will be send via email and through messenger before this balance is automatically direct debited from your nominated account.

Performance & Eisteddfod Fees - Some competitions have additional fees to compete. These fees are confirmed around the time of competition and advice will be provided to parents in regards to what the costs are and how payment needs to be made. There is an entry fee for all spectators who wish to watch which can be paid upon entering the venue.
